Citi News‘ Franklin Badu Junior reported that over 200 delegates did not turn up to vote.

Addison and Nii Tawiah earlier boycotted the election, saying the party had been unfair to them by taking a decision to hold the election today [Sunday].

Mr Addison and his supporters were at the NPP headquarters to protest as the election process begun in the constituency.

He subsequently in an interview with Citi News’ Franklin Badu Jnr declared: “I am boycotting the election because it’s a sham. There is lack of transparency so there is no confidence in the process.”

He has been facing a stiff challenge from his major opponent, Nii Nortey who resigned as the constituency chairman a few months ahead of the election to contest.
