The worsening power crisis in the country is likely to ease soon if new projections from engineers on the FPSO at the Jubilee fields are anything to go by.

Tullow last week announced gas exports from the field will be resumed in the middle of August,2015.
But engineers working on the plant have announced gas exports from the FPSO to Ghana gas will resume way ahead of the August 15 date.
Communication Consultant to the Energy Ministry, Edward Bawa told Citi Business News the new date follows a directive by the Energy Minister Emmanuel Armah Kofi Buah for work to be expedited at the offshore facility.
”As of yesterday, the sector minister went to the FPSO to check and Tullow which is the operator had officially indicated that repair works will end by mid August but based on the fact that the minister had impressed upon them that they needed to complete the work very quickly, they promised that they would try to finish before the date they had indicated because obviously, our power sector depends on that. ”
Currently, commissioning or testing is being done on the compressor per the directive of the Energy Minister, Emmanuel Armah Kofi Buah.
