The Chief Executive Officer of Ideal Finance Company Limited Nii Kotei Dsane has cut the sod for the construction of a six unit classroom block for the Ada Senior High School.
The building will also have modern offices and equipment to facilitate teaching and learning.
Speaking at a ceremony at the school to launch the project, Nii Kotei Dsane said he was inspired to initiate the project for his alma mater due to the role the school has played in his professional life.
“I am an old student of this school and the school has moulded me to this level where by the grace of God I am contributing to nation-building and national development. My encounter with the teachers here some years ago has enhanced my knowledge in life”, he said.
He gave the assurance that he would continue to support the development of the school by instituting a scholarship scheme for fifteen students every year.
For his part, the headmaster of the school Mr Tugah expressed appreciation to Nii Kotei Dsane for his benevolence and called for on other old students to support the school.
He pledged that the school will ensure that the facility is put to good use when completed.
