The Greater Accra Regional Minister has initiated moves to ensure every demolition exercise carried out in the region is approved by his office.

Mr. Afotey-Agbo earlier served notice he will not tolerate any further demolition exercises in the capital without his approval.

In an interview with Citi News, the Greater Accra Regional Minister, disclosed he has sent letters to all stakeholders involved to alert him of any impending demolition.

“I have received a letter from the Inspector General of Police (IGP) instructing all the Police not to move out and go assist any demolition exercise without informing my office so everything is on course,” Mr. Afotey Agbo said.

There have been several demolition exercises in the Greater Accra region, such as the Adjei Kojo demolition among others which has rendered many  homeless.
