The newly elected New Patriotic Party (NPP) parliamentary candidate for the Tema West Constituency, Carlos Ahenkorah has announced that the incumbent Member of Parliament for the area, Irene Naa Torshie may be his campaign manager in the 2016 election.

Speaking to Citi News an elated Carlos Ahenkorah promised to unite the NPP members in the Tema West Constituency.

He reiterated that Naa Torshie will be very instrumental in his parliamentary bid.

“Naa Torshie is going to play a very vital role in what we are going to do in Tema West. Indeed, she might even lead our campaign team in 2016,” he added.

Mr Ahenkorah further assured that “Naa Torshie would enjoy whatever privileges she enjoyed as an MP even when she wasn’t on the throne. I don’t enjoy to see people suffer and whilst I enjoy. What has happened to Naa Torshie today is not something I take pride of but obviously one person has to be elected.”

“After some time, when dust has settled, I will bring her around and talk to her. She is not that kind of person who will refuse to discuss things about the development of the NPP.”
