A deputy state attorney of the Upper West Region, Saeed Abdul-Shakquurr has criticized government for over relying on strikes to address the concerns of public sector workers in the country.

Somewhere last month or so,the judicial staff went on strike a day after their problem was solved. Why will anybody wait for workers to go on strike before you do the obvious thing? It beats me that institutions of state are sitting on their hands waiting for people to strike.”
Mr. Shaquur was commenting on their nationwide strike.
“This is dangerous to industry because the culture of strike is building up .The Ghanaian worker now believes its only when s/he embarks on strike that the government of the day listens”.
He blamed the finance ministry of unduly delaying to complete the salary harmonization process.
