The Privileges Committee of Parliament has invited to the Chairman of the World Health Organisation (WHO) Collaborating Centre for Pharmaco-Vigilance, Professor Alex Dodoo again.

Professor Alex Dodoo who is also the Head of the Global Vaccines Safety Initiative was last week dragged before the Committee after criticizing MPs of being uninformed about the Ebola vaccine trial.

[contextly_sidebar id=”A4hlSkWqTYqv66vBqeq6OMINwAD9Gnvz”]The invitation letter intercepted by Citi News and signed by Ebenezer Djietror, Principal Assistant Clerk to the Privileges Committee asked Professor Dodoo to report to Parliament on Thursday afternoon.

“You are kindly invited to attend Parliament on Thursday 23rd July, 2015 at noon in connection with the alleged contemptuous remarks you made against Members of Parliament (MPs) on the suspended phase one Ebola Vaccine trial in the country.Again you are kindly reminded of your right to be represented by a counsel of your choice on the said date and time,” the letter indicated.

The last time Professor Alex Dodoo appeared in Parliament, the Chairman of the Committee and First Deputy Speaker, Ebo Burton Odro disallowed Members of Parliament (MPs) from questioning him.

After the apology, members of the committee were expected to grill the Professor but Barton Odro intervened with the explanation that since there has been a formal apology from the Professor, they had to end the proceeding.

“We’ve heard it all from the horse’s own mouth. Left to me alone, there should be no further questioning,” he said.
