Prices of foodstuffs remain stable in week 3 of July

The prices of foodstuffs in the various markets did not see any major changes in the third week of July.

[contextly_sidebar id=”lxUrNaIH86BG80rNNAGGuDqaR4HPJwkG”]After thorough checks by Esoko Ghana in all the major markets, the price of tomatoes saw just 5 percent increase to close the week at an average price of GHS 11.25 pesewas.

The price of a “medium size tomato tin” full of fresh tomatoes lost a percentage point in Accra to close the week at GHS 13.18 while Kumasi also lost 8 percent to close at GHS 6.48.

It however gained 4 percent in both Bawku and Techiman to close the week at GHS 12.60 and GHS 10.49 respectively.

Takoradi however gained the highestm, 25 percent, to close at GHS 18.00.

The prize of maize remained unchanged in most markets.

In Dambai, an olunka of maize dropped 20 percent to close the week at GHS 4.00.
