Members of a church in Gauteng, South Africa, End Times Disciples Ministries ate snakes which the Pastor claimed to have turned into chocolate and ‘enjoyed it.’

The church’s Facebook page posted pictures of the service with several members of the congregation munching on the poor reptiles (now chocolate), which strangely still looked like snakes .

A few of them looked squeamish – the people, not the snakes – looking like they would rather be sitting behind a bowl of fufu; understandably so.

The startling pictures were accompanied by a message “Those with small faith eats only vegetables but the ones with a great faith eats everything. During service Man of God commanded a snake to change into a chocolate and it obeyed. People ate it and enjoyed it.
To God Be The Glory!”

The “Man of God” as he is described in a series of posts, also claimed to have turned a rock into bread which one member ate.

According to the church, “We have authority to change everything into anything and it will obey because of our authority.”

This is not the first time members of a church in South Africa have ingested a rather unorthodox lunch.

Last October, members of the Rabboni Centre Ministries ate flowers, which had been used as decorations for the church’s Sunday Service, in order to be healed from their ailments.

The pastor of the church, Lesego Daniel and his church had courted controversy earlier that year after he directed members of his congregation to eat grass in order to ‘be closer’ to God.

His methods drew lots of criticism from people who say they are dangerous and put the lives of the members of his congregation at risky especially after he made some of his church members drink a liquid believed to be petrol after claiming he miraculously turned it into pineapple juice.
