The Northern Regional Police Command has commended the people of Tamale for their contribution towards the success of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) National Delegates’ Congress at the weekend.

A statement issued in Tamale on Monday and signed by Deputy Commissioner of Police, Ken Yeboah, Northern Regional Police Commander said: “The Northern Regional Police wishes to express its sincerest gratitude to all who contributed in making the NPP congress peaceful and an incident-free.”

The Command also expressed gratitude to its sister-security agencies for the immense support, and commended the Media for their professional conduct, which ensured the success of the Congress.

The Command said it has started investigations into the shooting incident which took place last Thursday, leaving some nine members of the NPP injured, and assured that anyone arrested would be made to face the law.

It, therefore, appealed to the public to volunteer information to speed up investigations to arrest and prosecute the perpetrators.
