A 23-year-old man has been fined after he drugged his girlfriend so he could keep playing video games.
According to The Local, the man’s girlfriend arrived home when he was playing Playstation with a friend last August.
In a bid to keep on playing, the man made his (now ex) girlfriend a cup of tea and added a sedative so she would fall asleep.
‘I only put four or five drops into her tea,’ he told a court in Caxtrop-Rauxel.
In any case, the woman slept until midday the following day, and said she was nodding off at work from the effects of the drug.
The man owed up to his crime, and said he was on drugs himself at the time.
He was ordered to pay €500, and though the woman wasn’t harmed, a judge said it was ‘certainly a premeditated bodily harm.’
