Lawrence Nana Asiamah Hanson alias Bulldog has fired critics for mocking his golden boy Shatta Wale for not getting nominated for any award at the recent Black Entertainment Television (BET) Awards.
Shatta Wale has claimed that he is the best dance hall artiste in Ghana.
Stonebwoy was awarded the Best International Act at the 2015 BET Awards.
He won in a category, which included Sarkodie, South African cool kid A.K.A, and Nigerian beauty Yemi Alade.
Many have since taken to social media to celebrate Stonebwoy for making Ghana proud at the International stage but mocked acclaimed dance hall artiste Shatta Wale.
They questioned why Shatta Wale was not nominated despite his popularity in Ghana.
Quoting from Wikipedia, Bulldog explained on this Facebook page that “The BET Awards were established in 2001 by the Black Entertainment Television network to celebrate African Americans and other minorities in music, acting, sports, and other fields of entertainment over the past year.”
“BET AWARDS is not for Africans. #simplyput,” he stated.
He further questioned: “Why are we begging for attention… LET’S BUILD OUR OWN…”
