The second batch of National Service Scheme (NSS) postings will be released sometime this week.

This information came after the first batch of more than 50, 000 postings were released last week.

According to the National Service Secretary, the registration of service persons who have been posted will start at their regional offices on Monday.

He further urged service personnel to go to the registration centers across the country, mainly the regional offices.

“We have given this long time of registration to avoid the usual overcrowding at the various national service secretariats,” he stated.

“For those who have checked their postings and have not found their names, they should just relax,” Mr. Entsiwah assured, “the second batch of the postings will come out by the close of this week.”

Earlier, the management of the NSS released the first batch of placements for 53,604 national service personnel for 2015/2016 service year as part of reforms of its general operations.

According to a statement signed by the Acting Executive Director, Dr. Michael Kpessa-Whyte, the service personnel have been deployed into various service modules including Educational Support, Agribusiness, Urban Traffic Management, Urban Sanitation Management, Community Health, Rural Development, Private Sector Support, and General Administration in the various Metropolitan, Municipal, and District Assemblies, and other User Agencies across the country.

The statement noted that the modules have been developed in line with the Scheme’s objectives to meet the developmental and manpower needs of the country.
