The New Patriotic Party (NPP) held its final rally at Winkongo JSS Park in the Talensi constituency on Sunday.
The 2016 flagbearer of the party, Nana Akufo-Addo and his running mate, Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia addressed the thousands of residents who gathered at the rally grounds.
Nana Addo took the opportunity to introduce the NPP’s Parliamentary candidate, Thomas Duanab Wuni and urged the electorates to vote for him come July 7.
He said supporting Wuni to win the by-election will begin the NPP home stretch for 2016.
The NPP throughout its campaign has been appealing to the people to Talensi to vote for the party to help retain the seat.
The people of Talensi will on Tuesday head to the polls to elect a new Member of Parliament after the its immediate past MP resigned following his elevation to the status of a Paramount chief.
Intense campaigning has been ongoing and the National Democratic Congress is poised to wrestle the seat from the NPP.
