On the same day Apple released its much anticipated new streaming service, Apple Music, the company also offered users a new iTunes update that frustrated more than a few Apple fans.
iTunes 12.2 was meant to be available Tuesday, but the roll out was not without hiccups. For one thing, many users could not immediately access the update and took to social media to share their irritation.
An Apple representative contacted by Mashable could not comment directly on the issue.
Mashable was able to access the update by going to the iTunes page on Apple’s website and downloading it from there.
The iTunes update includes support for Apple Music. As part of Apple Music hosted on iTunes, users can access the Beats 1 live radio station and a section called “For You” that suggests playlists and albums based on your musical tastes, among other features.

To download the 12.2 iTunes update, Mac users will need OS X version 10.7.5 or later, and the ability to access Apple Music may vary by country.
