A 35-year-old self-styled football coach is in the grips of the police for allegedly sodomising three children at Ankaful near Cape Coast.

John Aidoo, said to be a coach and a decorator at Ankaful was said to have on different occasions given Olive Oil to three different boys between the ages of 10 and 13 to drink and thereafter asked them to suck his penis until he discharged.

According to the Central Regional Officer in Charge of the Domestic Violence and Victim Support Unit, Mr Appiah Sakyi, Aidoo gathered young boys with interest in football and trained them at Ankaful where he lived.

He said Aidoo however, took advantage of the children’s trust in him and abused them.

Mr Appiah Sakyi said the first incident took place in December 2013 when the coach invited one of the victims to his room, gave him Olive oil to drink and thereafter ordered him to suck his penis till he discharged.

He then warned the victim not to tell anybody about the incident.

In February 2014, Aidoo again, on different occasions, invited two other boys into his room, smeared Olive oil on them and ordered them to suck his penis. He also warned them not to inform anybody about their ordeal and told them that the abominable act would enable them to excel academically.

One of the victims however, disclosed the ordeal to his friends.

Later in a fight with one of his friends he had confided in, one of the victims was teased as a “penis sucker.”

The victim’s mother upon hearing this questioned her son who admitted the incident and mentioned the names of the other victims.

Coach Aidoo was subsequently, summoned before the Ankaful chief where he was arrested by the police, but he denied all the charges.
