The Hohoe Divisional Police command is expected to put before the court a 25-five-year old man and his uncle for allegedly murdering an 8-year old boy.

The suspect, Kojo Osei together with his accomplice are believed to have murdered the deceased, for ritual purposes.

They were arrested on Thursday from their hideout.

Narrating the incident to Citi News, the Regional Crime Officer, ASP Otoo, stated that Yaw Boateng, a forestry technical officer, who had an 8-year-old imbecile son decided to hand him over to his neighbor, Mr. Osei- a herbalist, to cure him of his disease.

He further stated that Mr. Osei one day took the boy to the farm but returned without him and rather gave the young boy’s father an excuse that he was sleeping.

According to ASP Otoo “Mr. Osei’s nephew, Kwadwo Osei, killed the boy, murdered him and removed his intestines and handed them over to some men.”

He remarked that the body was then buried about thirty meters from his residence adding that the young boy who saw his father committing the sacrilege told another friend in school the next day.

His friend in turn told his parents who forwarded the case to the Assembly member of the area.

The Assembly of the area got to know about the story and reported same to the Keachebi police.

After receiving a tip off, the Hohoe Regional Command then mounted surveillance in the area and finally arrested the culprits from their hideout.
