The Royal Bank Foundation (TRB), a foundation established by The Royal Bank to undertake social activities and communal projects has provided boreholes to some deprived communities in the Volta region that are in a dire need of portable water.
The move according to the Senior Vice President in charge of Strategic Planning,Research and Cooperate Affairs, Dr Kwame Baah-Nuakoh was in line with the Bank’s vision of supporting government to alleviate poverty in vulnerable communities.
He said 50 boreholes will be constructed in some deprived communities in the country.

And so it doesn’t matter how much this would cost us; all we want to do is to put smiles on the faces of these people” he said.
The beneficiary communities in the Volta region include Bukarikope, Zorkope, Abortia, Ative Dome and Kudzagbagbakofe.
The Chairman of the Bank Rev Faustell Coffie assured the communities that the bank would continue to support them in areas of health, water and sanitation, education, culture and sports.
