The Ghana Medical Association (GMA) has issued its final warning to withdraw their services in July over government’s failure to negotiate and sign their terms and conditions of service.

The association has since last year threatened to withdraw their services over their complaint.

[contextly_sidebar id=”R1GXWXFm0pFvdf4jIVLhsSKvgHELV9Ay”]The Association, in a letter issued a final notice of their intention to protest on the said date if government fails to meet their demands.

Speaking to Citi News, the Deputy General Secretary of the GMA, Dr. Justice Yankson said the Association has also given government ample time to either address their demands or face their wrath.

“What I can say is that we gave our notice eight months ago…. we are reminding everybody that it is just two weeks to the deadline which by that time if we have not negotiated and signed that bond, we will go ahead with all of that we said over the last eight months,’ Mr. Yankson warned.

The Association in a communique issued earlier, accused government of “not taking any step to solve the issue of lack of conditions of service” for its members “four months” after serving government its initial notice.

The group issued similar threats in the past over various reasons.

In March 2015, it threatened a similar action over its pension contributions.
