Fuel prices up by 14 pesewas

Citi Business News has learnt some Oil Marketing Companies (OMCs) have sanctioned a 14 pesewa increase in prices of petroleum products.

A visit to the Total pump station in Adabraka this morning revealed Petrol was being sold at 3 cedis 47 pesewas, increasing by 14 pesewas per litre.
Diesel was also being sold at 3 cedis 37 pesewas per litre , this price has also increased by 14 pesewas.According to the Manager and Fuel attendants at the station, the new prices were sanctioned by the Total head office this morning.Another pump station in Adabraka is “So,” a visit to that station also showed the price of Petrol and diesel have been increased by 14 pesewas.

Petrol was being sold at 3 cedis 47 pesewas while diesel was also being sold at 3 cedis 37 pesewas.

Close to the Flyover at Kwame Nkrumah Circle near the Iran Clinic, the total pump station there had suspended operations as at 9:45 am while they wait for pump fitters from their head office to recalibrate their machines.

Some Taxi Drivers and passengers who spoke to Citi Business News, roundly lambasted at government for the deregulation and the resultant increase in petroleum prices.
