Kombian’s case adjourned to July 2

The case involving Johnson Kombian, the businessman and farmer, who is being held over the death of two policemen in the Northern Region, has been adjourned to July 2, 2015.

[contextly_sidebar id=”3SxtQyi7tpsQ8yC1MpHunuyxYHcpOaLs”]The Trial Judge, Mr Justice Mustapha Habib Logoh, said he had been informed that the state attorney prosecuting the matter had travelled and was praying the Court to adjourn the matter to July 2.

The Court agreed to the request of the state and adjourned the matter accordingly.

Kombian, who was in court had called a witness to make his case while the prosecution in the case have closed their case after calling six witnesses.

Kombian and his accomplices, who are currently on the run, are alleged to have ambushed three policemen and killed two of them on October 10, 2010.

The victims were Constables Prince Agyare and Owusu Frimpong.

Kombian, currently on remand, has denied before a seven-member jury, the charge of conspiracy, and two counts of killing the two police officers.
