A former Member of Parliament for Asokwa Constituency in the Ashanti Region who was arrested for destroying electoral materials has been granted bail in the sum of 10,000 Ghana cedis by a Kumasi Circuit Court.

[contextly_sidebar id=”J2qyhh6CbhU9HLVgNYHkBgJpQeLs8zT9″]Citi News’ Ashanti Regional correspondent, Lauretta Timah reported that the court “presided over by Afia Adu Amankwa admitted the two suspects [Jumah and his Campaign Manager, Richard Oscar] to a bail of 10,000 Ghana cedis with one surety”
Lauretta said Oscar was charged with preventing lawful Police arrest.
The two according to her, have also been asked to report to the Police every Friday.
Kofi Jumah was arrested last Saturday during the NPP Primaries for allegedly ripping apart the electoral album.

His action was allegedly based on suspicion that the register had been tampered with, in favour of his contender Patricia Appiagyei.
