Talensi residents extol their newly enskinned chief

The chiefs and people of Talensi traditional area in the Upper East Region have expressed their delight over the enskinment of the former New Patriotic Party (NPP) Member of Parliament for the Talensi constituency as their paramount chief.

 Robert Nachinab Mosore has been enskinned as Tongraan Kugbil Song Nanlebiktang.

His people have saluted him for relinquishing his seat in Parliament to ascend to the throne of the Talensi chiefdom.

“Our revered chief did not make any mistake of abdicating his seat in Parliament to serve as our paramount chief,” they proudly told Citi News.

They also commended the overlord of the Mamprugu traditional area who doubles as President of the Northern Regional House of Chiefs, the Nayiri Mahami Bahigu Abdulai Sheriga for the honour.

They described Tongraan Kugbil Song Nanlebiktang as a time tested and astute “Star” whose altitude will attract investors to the area.

Hon. Robert Nachinab Doameng Mosore achieved his long cherished dream of becoming the paramount chief of the Talensi traditional area on Wednesday April, 29, 2015.

He set unprecedented record as the first Ghanaian MP who resigned his seat to ascend to the throne of a paramount chief.

As the first NPP MP for the Talensi constituency, Hon. Robert Nachinab Doameng has been in Parliament half way the tenure of his four years mandate.

Tongraan Kugbil Song Nanlebiktang is yet to be gazetted by the National House of Chiefs but his people are feverishly preparing for his outdoration.

The Talensi traditional area is endowed with mineral resources particularly gold.
