Some residents living around Old Barrier on the Accra-Kasoa high way, parts of Santa Maria and Sowutuom, parts of the Kwame Nkruma Circle among others have made distress calls to Citi FM about floods in their area.

Some motorists also say the water level at Malam junction is gradually rising.
The rising water also took over the A-lang bridge near Sowutuom.
Citi News visits to areas around Circle, Kaneshie, First Light and parts of Adabraka also revealed similar situations.
The rains have been pouring intermittently since Sunday morning.
Fresh memories of the June 3 flood and fire disaster that killed over 150 people has put fear in many of the residents in these areas.

A concerned resident Joyce, who spoke to citifmonline.com said “Ataala (on the Malam-Kasoa highway) is so flooded. Its not easy. Please announce to people on your radio that they should be careful.”
