A middle-aged man is holding up a planned demolition exercise at Mile 7 in Accra, after climbing on top of the filling station.

He has refused to descend despite several attempts by authorities there to convince him.

The demolition exercise which is being carried out by the Ga West Municipal Assembly (GWMA) has seen a  washing bay and other adjoining houses pulled down in the last few days.

This action follows last Wednesday’s devastating floods that killed over 150 people in the process.
