The Black Stars of Ghana are currently ranked the 38th best country in the world, according to the latest Fifa Rankings.

Ghana moved up two places in last month’s [March] edition but has seen a downward movement 30 days later. Although the four-time African champions lost three places in the ranking, they moved one place up on the continent to occupy the fourth place.

The Elephants of Ivory Coast still remain the best team in Africa and 21st in the world. The Pharaohs of Egypt are second but 24th in the world followed by Algeria as the third best in Africa and 25th globally.

European countries occupy the first three places after Ghana’s World Cup opponent Portugal moved up to third place behind leaders Spain and group opponent Germany.
