Black Satellites drawn against Mali in U-20 World Cup

It’s Mali next up for Ghana at the U-20 FIFA World Cup following the conclusion of the group phase of New Zealand 2015.

The Black Satellites who finished tops of Group B had to wait two days before their opponents of the second round which has now been confirmed to be the West African rivals who finished third in Group D.

Sellas Tetteh’s side return to the Wellington Regional Stadium where Ghana drew 1-1 with Austria on match day one before beating Argentina 3-2 in their second group game.

After travelling to Auckland, the New Zealand capital to seal top spots in the group with a 1-0 victory over Panama, the Black Satellites are back to the venue of their http://rzocoruse.com opening two games to face Mali.

Ghana played Mali twice at the Africa qualifying tournament in Senegal in March, the Black Satellites losing the group stage tie before beating the Malians in the match for third place as both joined Africa champions, Nigeria and sensational runner-ups, Senegal to the world fiesta.

All four African (all West African) countries are through to the second round after Nigeria finished second to Brazil in Group E whilst Senegal finished 3rd in Group C.

Nigeria next face Germany on Thursday June 11 whilst Senegal meet Ukraine on Wednesday June 10, all looking for a place in the quarter finals.
