Chief Executive Officer of Inter Allies Football Club, Eric Delali Senaye, has underlined the impact of the team’s new signings as the reason for their marked improvement in the second round of the First Capital Plus Premier League.
The Tema-based team has moved from the bottom of the log to 14th due to an impressive run of a single loss in nine league matches and they are now just two points off 10th placed Amidaus on 30 points.
Senaye told Citi Sports in an interview on Thursday, the talents they brought in the mid-season transfer window have been behind the push up the table.
” We made some purchases from across West Africa like Senegal, Burkina Faso and we also signed some Ghanaians who were playing other parts of the world.
They have added some quality to the team and we have used to get the good results.”
He continued: “We have also found a way of stringing good results and we have done so in the last eight games without losing. That has translated into our form in the second round.”
Inter Allies have scored 14 goals in their 9 second round league matches and new signing Talla N’Diaye of Senegal has scored three of those goals after he joined following his good showing in the 2013 WAFU Tournament in Ghana.
With five league matches left in the season, Senaye has called on the players to maintain the good results coming in order to steer clear of the drop at the end of the season.
” We have to stay focused and keep winning. That is the only way to keep our league status. The players must give it their all because it will not be easy for us.
The coach is doing his bit because his guidance has been very good and he has been trying to plot our survival.”
The last five fixtures of the First Capital Plus Premier League for Inter Allies will see them play against Wa All Stars (home), Asante Kotoko (away), New Edubiase (home), Hearts of Oak (away), Aduana Stars (home) and Dwarfs (away).
