The National Executive Committee of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) is likely to sanction the party’s internal security apparatus called “Invincible Forces” for denying Paul Afoko and Kwabena Agyepong access to the party’s head office.

They later rescinded their decision after the intervention of presidential candidate of the NPP, Nana Akufo-Addo last Friday.
But Communications Director of the NPP, Nana Akomea speaking to Citi News, described the action as “outrageous.”
He said the duty and mandate of the the security company is just to provide security saying “they are not the people to decide who comes into or doesn’t come into the head office. So it was quite outrageous for them in expressing their grieve about what had happened to purport to give themselves the authority to decide who comes in or who doesn’t.”
On Thursday, some supporters of the New Patriotic Party’s (NPP) National Chairman, Paul Afoko, clashed with the Invincible Forces, a security group guarding the party’s headquarters.
Two people were injured in the process and were sent to the hospital for treatment.
“…you can understand that in the heat of the grieve and emotions they could take that action. They didn’t act properly. So tomorrow they can make the statement that the communications director could not come…I mean its so outrageous.”
“When the NEC meets, I’m sure this issue may be brought before them, and when its brought before them, I’m sure they will deal with it,” he added.
