suicideA 30-year-old man, identified as Nana Sam is reported to have committed suicide at Nungua beach drive, a suburb of Nungua in Accra. He was found dead in his room.

Speaking to Citi News, his mother, Auntie Esi said “I went to work on Monday morning, leaving him in the care of his brother, when I came back from work, his brother told me he had not seen him for a while but because he usually goes out we thought nothing has happened.”

She however stated that the family realized the deceased had committed suicide after they entered the victim’s room.

“On Tuesday morning, we perceived a bad odour in the air but we did not know the direction the odour was coming from but upon further investigations we realized it was coming from his room. We rushed to the door and we found him dead,” she explained

She further stated the  corpse was still lying in the room since the police had instructed them not to enter the room till further notice.
