On Sunday 24th May, 2015, all roads will lead to the Heroes Park at Amakom, Kumasi, as Ghana’s leading urban youth radio station YFM, turns it up with the next Area Codes Jam. In Partnership with Guinness, this event would be the third episode of the ‘Made Of Black’ Area Codes series and promises to shake up the Heroes Park with jaw dropping performances by some of the best artists in the Ghanaian music industry.
According to Mr. Samuel Ato Afful, General Manager for YFM – Kumasi, “We are very excited that the YFM Area Codes Jam – “Made Of Black” series has finally reached the Garden City. One of the major responsibilities that YFM holds very dear is to make sure that wherever we are, we put the youth first by entertaining them, educating them, inspiring them and presenting them with great opportunities to develop their talents. In the past, the YFM Area Codes Jam has been the ‘platform of discovery’ for artists such as Jupiter, Episode and several others”. He went on to say “we thank Guinness for being with us through this amazing partnership. With all the great talents in stall for this event, we know it is going to be a truly unforgettable experience”.
The Guinness “Made Of Black” campaign is an initiative that seeks to create a platform for young African adults to express themselves through unique and creative ways. This collaboration between YFM and Guinness therefore presents the perfect platform to entertain and engage the youth, and also give them the opportunity exhibit their creativity.
YFM’s Area Code Jam is a free concert which brings the party to different neighborhoods and will continue to reach all corners of the country with unforgettable street parties throughout the year.
