This was revealed by the National President of the Society, Dr Odoi Agyarko.

The Ministry of finance says it has fulfilled all financial obligations to the National Health Insurance Scheme (NHIS) for the 2015 fiscal year to enable it pay the  debts owed service providers.

Following this, the  National President of  the Society, Dr Odoi Agyarko told Citi News, he has issued a communiqué to all members not to now begin accepting NHIS  card bearers.

“By our estimates and collation of the data that we had from our colleagues we noticed that about 80 percent of my colleagues had been paid and roughly about 80 percent of the amount owed these people were also cleared. They received them in accounts. .. on Monday morning I instructed most of our members to start receiving patients who come with NHIS card so most of them have complied and they are taking the NHIA cards.” he stated.
