The National Democratic Congress’ (NDC), Alhaji Halidu Haruna who called some women celebrities names for criticizing the government’s handling of the energy crisis on social media attempted to participate in Saturday’s Dumsor vigil.

The vigil saw over thousands of Ghanaians pouring out in their numbers on the streets between the University of Ghana and the Tetteh Quarshie roundabout with the aim of protesting the worsening power situation in the country.
Haruna came to the vigil with a very big black painted ‘Bobo’ and granted interviews to some media houses.
But his luck run out when one of the protesters pointed him out to the crowd.

Though he had apologized for the comments, the protesters pelted him with sachet water and hooted at him.
Some tried to beat him up but some the Police personnel around came to his rescue.
He was later whisked into one of the Police vehicles and moved from the vigil grounds.
