Joel Koranteng wins Citi FM’s #Cook4Mama competition

Joel Koranteng has won this year’s edition of Citi FM’s annual Cook For Mama challenge.

His German curry sauce earned him a score of 90.5 points and saw him beat off four other contestants to win the top prize.

Mr. Koranteng won an all expense paid weekend trip to the Royal Senchi Hotel, a king size mattress, pillows, a cooker, a toaster, products from Fan Milk Ghana Limited and hampers from Lele.

The five men displayed their cooking prowess by preparing special meals for their wives in the cook-off.

Cornelius Koku Segla, who prepared Akple and Pappa finished as runner up with 81 points and went home with a king size mattress, pillows, a cooker, a toaster, products from Fan Milk Ghana Limited and hampers from Lele.

Dr. Osmond Kofi Boakye finished third with his Spicy baked chicken thighs, sweet potatoes mixed vegetable sauce and modified Ghanaian salad and won a cooker, a toaster, products from Fan Milk Ghana Limited and hampers from Lele.

Godfred Asante Boafo won a toaster, products from Fan Milk Ghana Limited and hampers from Lele after finishing fourth with his Groundnut soup.

The five fathers were selected out of hundreds of participants after they sent in entries, with included the favorite dish of mama, the recipe, the methodology and a short statement about what makes mama so special.
