Ghana’s fastest growing regional airline, Africa World Airlines (AWA), on the May 1, 2015 began operation to the Oil and Gas City Takoradi.

Africa World’s entry into the Takoradi market comes at a time when the travel climate and economic centre of gravity is beginning to gain altitude after one of the better known declines in the travel, energy and oil and gas industries.

Speaking on the journey of AWA so far with regards to its readiness to capture the Takoradi market with its maiden flights into Takoradi, Head of Commercial Sales, Revenue and Marketing for AWA Katherine Tosan Woode read the speech on behalf of the Chief Operating Officer Apiigy Afenu, asked passengers to take advantage of the 5 for 1 deal to its clients called Fly4Free frequent flyer program indicating that the programme has no time line as for now.

Katherine Tosan Woode was also excited about the one stop shop corporate packages available for the busy travel market into and out of Takoradi as well as the partnership travel agencies and hotels that have chosen to come on board with AWA.

Tickets are already selling as travel will began in earnest after the May 1 maiden flight.
