The Junior Unionized Staff of Bulk Oil Storage and Transportation Company Limited (BOST) have declared their support for the managing director, Kwame Awuah Darko over the ongoing restructuring at the company.

Over 100 workers of the company were directed to reapply for their various posts as part of the ongoing restructuring of the company’s operations.

On December 2, 2014, management directed workers at BOST head office to re -apply for up to three different portfolios.

This has led to some agitations by some Senior Staff at the company.

Speaking at a press conference on Thursday, the Junior Unionized Staff declared unflinching support for the management decision, describing it as “positive.”

“We know you have been under pressure lately as you attempt to revitalize the Management team. We employ you to proceed without any ill-thought or biasness. Ghanaians are counting on you to make BOST the preferred Oil and Gas logistics business in Ghana and the sub-region,” they said.

They further called on Mr. Awuah-Darko and the board chair Mr. Kakra Essamuah to “remain resolute and focused in the discharge of their duties.”
