Koku Anyidoho has tarnished NDC’s image – Group

A youth group calling itself Volta Freedom Fighters in the Volta region has taken a swipe at the Deputy General Secretary of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), Koku Anyidoho accusing him of tarnishing the image of the party in the region.

[contextly_sidebar id=”uNLcCJicvjr6ZiBptbjUxdQ6qkfXxNHt”]This they say is because of his periodic “unwarranted utterances” and attacks on some government appointees and party members “to satisfy his ego.”

The group is made up of mostly executives and past executives of the party’s youth wing Tertiary Education Institution Network (TEIN).

They described the general secretary as an attention seeker who is bent on dragging the image of the government into disrepute.

“Mr Anyidoho, in his quest to discredit the Mahama led NDC government, for no reason whatsoever, fiercely attacked and insulted appointees like Omane Boamah, Mr Sam Dzata George amongst others including elected leaders of the NDC like Kofi Adams, the National Organiser of the NDC, Mark Oliver Kevor, Eastern Regional Secretary whilst not forgetting those unhealthy and regrettable words of insults and abuse he rained on the founder of our party His Excellency Flt Jerry John Rawlings.’’

At a press conference in Ho one of the conveners Sampson Kudzo Ayitey also accused Mr Anyidoho of using the informer newspaper; a paper he controls to smear government appointees with falsehoods and needless condemnations.

“…as if all the meaningless attacks on these persons are not enough, Koku Anyidoho is yet using a dubious and worthless Informer News paper as a medium of insult and denigration to unleash attacks on the former chief of staff Mr. Prosper Douglas Bani in a sustained manner which probably contributed to his removal from office.”

The group is therefore calling on the party hierarchy and influential chiefs in the Volta region “to call Koku Anyidoho to order before he drags the region and the party into the mud.”
