POLICE VANDALISMThree people have sustained gunshot wounds and 16 houses have been burnt down in fresh attacks in Nankpanduri in the Northern Region.

The attacks took place in the early hours of Friday.

According to the Police, the attacks are believed to be linked to previous attacks in neighbouring Kpemale when a young man was killed at Bongini.

Northern Regional Police PRO ASP Ebenezer Tetteh told Citi News, three people have sustained gunshot wounds and are currently receiving treatment at the Baptist Medical Center.

Meanwhile, the police say some of its officers are still in the town to keep the peace and make some arrests.

“Gambaga Police with the local reinforcement have managed to stabilize the situation…no arrest has been made…and we are going to rely on information that we will get from community members,” he added.
