A retired Deputy Commissioner of Police (DCOP), Mr Castro Yaw Adu Gyimah, has picked nomination forms to contest in the New Patriotic Party (NPP) parliamentary primaries in the Nsuta-Kwamang-Beposo Constituency in the Ashanti Region.

[contextly_sidebar id=”cgqebaJWb6uNKNxWmV96pqnlbvsLefe7″]Alhaji Issah Abdulai, the second Vice Chairman of the party in the constituency who disclosed this to the media said two other contestants, Mr Kwame Asafu-Adjei, the incumbent, and Mr Attah Boadu, an NPP activist in the United Kingdom(UK), had also picked their forms.

Alhaji Abdulai advised the 3 contestants and their supporters to comport themselves and do a clean campaign devoid of any acrimony, since whoever becomes the choice of the electorate will need the support of others in the general elections in 2016.

He further advised the party executives to remain neutral, to ensure unity and combat-readiness for the task ahead in 2016.

So far some known personalities have expressed interest to contest the NPP parliamentary primaries.

They include former Host of Joy FM’s morning show, Kojo Oppong Nkrumah who is vying for the Ofoase Ayeribi seat, editor of the Daily Searchlight newspaper, Ken Kuranchie, OkaiKoi North, lawyer for Nana Addo in the 2012 election petition, Philip Addison, Korle Klottey constituency among others.
