KATHLeaders of the youth in Zongo community in the Ashanti region who attacked doctors and nurses at the Komfo Anokye Teaching Hospital are appealing to the medical staff to return to work.

The medical staff withdrew their services after a mob from the  community attacked them, demanding the body of a missing dead baby.

But speaking to Citi News, Spokesperson for the youth, Mohammed Abdul Rahman apologized to the doctors and promised not to repeat the act.

“We are using this medium to give them the assurance that nobody is going to attack them,” he stated.

This, he said was because, the regional council had beefed up security in various vantage points .

“They can have my word, nobody will think of causing havoc because we are all on the same page to come to a logical conclusion,” he emphasized.
