YFM presenter’s abduction was staged – Police

The alleged kidnapping and sexual assault of  the YFM presenter was staged, according to sources close to the investigators and the doctors who treated her.

According to Citi News Western Regional Correspondent, Obrempong Yaw Ampofo  doctors and Police  in the Western Region who have concluded investigations into the case say the incident was planned and deliberately acted out.

YFM on Monday reported that a presenter with the station’s Takoradi branch, Adaeze Onyinyechie Ayoka, also known as Ms Ada had been abducted and the said abductors had released pictures of her on Facebook. she had been missing for about

She was found in a Takoradi hospital on Monday.

The Takoradi Police said she had staged her own abduction a few times before this incident.

Speaking on Eyewitness News however, Obrempong revealed that the lady had been taken to the police station for further investigation.

“The CID have come for the lady from the hospital in the Western Region to Accra,”he said.

He said investigation also revealed that the “lady’s name was not actually Ada”adding that, “she is not Nigerian but Ghanaian”

Earlier reports from the Police in the Western Region have revealed that this is the 5th time she had been kidnapped.

There are unconfirmed reports that the Police will hold a press conference in the coming days to address the public on the issue.
