YFM Presenter abducted, sexually assaulted

YFM Presenter abducted, sexually assaulted

Some presenters of YFM have told citifmonline.com that one of their presenters in the Western Region, Ms Ada, also known as Adaeze Onyinyechie Ayoka, has been abducted and sexually assaulted in Takoradi.

The kidnappers are said to be demanding a ransom before releasing  her.

They reportedly took pictures while raping her and posted them on facebook but Facebook subsequently pulled the page down.

An official message from management of YFM noted that “the matter has been reported to the Regional Command of the Ghana police.”

They further assured that they are” working with the Ghana Police Service to find her.”

Head of Corporate Communications at Global Media Alliance – owners of YFM, Ms. Naomi Nelson who confirmed the incident to Citi News said the company has been “trying to reach her for about a week now”

“We have been trying to get to some places to reach someone.Our focus is to get her back because we need to get her out from that situation.”

 

Below is the full statement posted on the station’s website

Yfm wishes to announce that the presenter of the Y Lounge show in Takoradi, Ms.Ada, also known as Adaeze Onyinyechie Ayoka has been abducted.

At this point we have not been contacted by any persons. We have reported this matter to the Regional Command of the Ghana police. We want to assure the public that we are working with the Ghana Police Service to find Ms Ada. We invite anybody with information to contact Yfm, Takoradi on 0273448888 and the Ghana Police Service.
