The Northern Regional Security Council (REGSEC)  is locked up in meeting over Sunday’s  clashes  in Bunkprugu  which left two people dead and four others injured.

[contextly_sidebar id=”ACauYVvEa22JoYusGypdThhGyTcqqI1P”]The two died following renewed chieftaincy clashes renewed between the Jamong and the Jafog clans.

Several houses in the area were also torched.

The two clans have been embroiled in a chieftaincy dispute for years.

Reports indicate that no arrest have so far been made in the renewed clashes.

Meanwhile, Citi News has also gathered that Police and Military personnel have been deployed to the area to maintain calm.
