Three suspects arrested in connection with the murder of the chief of Chinto, Nana Kofi Mankata and his driver at Adoagyiri in the Eastern Region have been remanded in police custody.
The former Acting Chief of Chinto near Nsawam in the Eastern Region Nana Okotoako Kofi Mankata II, 54, and his driver Nana Kwame, 38, were both gunned down Saturday night at Nsawam-Adoagyiri by unknown assailants after returning from a funeral.

The bodies have since been deposited at Korle-Bu Teaching Hospital in Accra for autopsy.
Speaking to Citi News the Public Relations Officer of the Criminal Investigations Department ASP Joseph Darkwah said investigations are ongoing to further unravel the mystery surrounding the gruesome murder.
“As I speak to you three people have been arrested in connection with the murder case. We have presented them to the court and they have been remanded into Police custody to assist with investigation,”Mr. Darkwah said.
