11-year-old detained for murder

An 11- year- old pupil of Obedeka Primary School near Nsawam, Bennet Kwesi Tawiah, has been detained by the Nsawam Police for allegedly killing Francis Barfo of Okanta Primary School after a misunderstanding between them.

[contextly_sidebar id=”WYnsvcXQrzQzIbsRaSBRW7GYgkMscsUX”]The Nsawam District Police Commander, Chief Superintendent of Police Akwasi Kankam Boadu narrated that after a misunderstanding between the two pupils, Barfo and his friends picked a stick  hit Tawiah,

He said, Tawiah who was holding a kitchen knife warned Barfo that if he did not stop hitting him, he would stab him but Barfo refused to stop.

Tawiah then stabbed Barfo in the chest.

Barfo called for help and some people called the police who rushed to the area and transported him to the hospital.

Barfo however died on arrival at the Nsawam Government Hospital.

Meanwhile, the body of Barfo has been taken to the Korle Bu Teaching Hospital for autopsy, while the Police are investigating the case.
