Media practitioner, Gifty Anti has shot down reports that she plans to contest for a parliamentary seat in the New Patriotic Party(NPP) Parliamentary primaries.

The Daily Guide newspaper on Tuesday listed a number of known personalities who will be participating in the NPP primaries.

The paper mentioned among others, Gifty Anti, the former host of Joy FM’s super morning show Kojo Oppong Nkrumah, Lawyer Egbert Fabille  and editor of the Daily Searchlight newspaper.

Gifty Anti posted on her Facebook page that such reports were false, saying though she “feels honored” to represent her people, “this is not the time to do so.”

[contextly_sidebar id=”yVB0XN4mczNRq0OtiV0KRrlMdZvaPadq”]The host of GTV’s Standpoint programme said her “love and passion” are currently into what she does.

“I am very political and interested in politics but I do not own any political party membership card.if you have any donations please bring it and lets use it to support The Standpoint and The Girl in Need,”she said.

“Thank you very much and I hope you still love me as Gifty Naana Afia Dansoa Anti, the journalist, Gender Advocate and Activist. Much love”

George Andah and Philip Addison are so far the only people who have confirmed their intentions of contesting in the race.

The others are however yet to confirm the news.
