A Level 300 student of the University of Cape Coast, Mr. Godwin Awugo, was found dead at Amamoma near the UCC on Thursday morning.
The body of the Nigerian Social Science student was reportedly found near “Round Palace Hostel” at Amamoma with his intestines gushing out from his lower abdomen.
It is believed that the murder was committed on Wednesday night when the student got into a feud with some unidentified persons possibly outside campus after which his body was dumped near the hostel.
According to reports, his roommate realized he had stayed out too long but all efforts to reach him via his mobile were not successful until he received messages from other friends on Thursday morning informing him of the incident.
The Regional Police Crime Unit confirmed the incident but could give detailed information
