The New Patriotic Party’s (NPP) 2016 running mate, Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia on Tuesday delivered a lecture on the International Monetary Fund (IMF) deal with Ghana.
He highlighted a plethora of issues he believed forced government to resort to the IMF to save Ghana from its economic woes.
Dr Bawumia who is also an economist and a former Deputy Governor of the Bank of Ghana insisted that the IMF bailout programme could have been prevented if government had listened to sound advice.
Various personalities were at the event, including the flag bearer of the NPP, Nana Akufo-Addo, Osafo Marfo and the Chairperson of the Convention Peoples Party (CPP), Sammia Nkrumah among others.
