After the National Disaster Management Organization (NADMO)’s assessment, government on Sunday March 22, 2015 released some relief items to the Northern Regional Coordinating Council for onward distribution to the victims.

The regional Minister, Alhaji Mohammed Muniru Limuna confirmed receipt of the items to Citi News in an interview.

He itemized the consignment including some pockets of roofing sheets, roofing nails, bails of used clothing and bags of rice.

Alhaji Limuna said government was touched by the plight of the victims, hence the rapid response.
