Swedish club Malmo are considering terminating the contract of Ghana international Kingsley Sarfo after the midfielder was arrested for the second time by Swedish authorities for alleged sex crimes.
Malmö FF, in a press release on Wednesday night, confirmed the player’s indefinite suspension from the club, and hinted a subsequent contract termination.
“We have just been notified that the player has been arrested. Based on that perspective, we have suspended the player in Malmö FF,” said Niclas Carlnén, Managing Director of Malmö FF.
Kingsley Sarfo, who was initially suspended for several months last year for similar offences, had just returned to first team training few weeks ago.
Sarfo could not join Malmö’s pre-season contingent to Florida in the USA on Monday, raising suspicion over his future with the club.
